Heidi Barnes and Laura Martin in the Communications department have been hard at work for nearly a year now rebranding the ESD and building a new website. The Board of Directors just approved the new brand, so the Communications team will begin rolling out the new logo and colors this spring.

Some exciting new features of the website include:

  • pdEnroller class listings
  • Integrated newsroom
  • Product and services search
  • Cross-program marketing
  • Interactive user experience
  • Event calendars
  • Social media integration
  • Multi-language capabilities

The new ESD logo and colors were developed after a brainstorm session with Cabinet and the Board of Directors. A tribute to the previous logo’s dots remain, and the type is set in a clean, modern font (you might have noticed the new font on the new Ogden Business Park directory sign and building directories). The color palette is designed to be versatile and eye-catching, while evoking our educational foundation. To learn more about the brand check out the presentation that Heidi gave to the Board of Directors.

The Communications team is working hard on usage guidelines and Microsoft Office templates for the new brand and will make them available on the Intranet in February. The team is also creating an ordering sheet for staff business cards. Building signage will be replaced in stages as the budget allows.
