CSG to relocate to new offsite offices

We’ve reported for months that CSG will be moving its offices to the 2200 building in former warehouse space. Due to the complexity of the build out for CSG and the urgency to acquire additional office space for our programs, CSG will be moving to an off-site office. They are still an integral part of our ESD family and we hope you’ll still see them around the ESD for meetings and events. Once they get all moved in, we’ll invite staff to visit their new digs!

New electronic reference check system launched

Using a custom system built by our own HR and IT departments, hiring managers can now use the new electronic reference check system. HR staff and managers are excited about the new system to expedite and strengthen the process of checking references prior to offering employment to potential ESD employees.

All electronic references will be reviewed by ESD hiring coordinators and made available to program managers. In addition, the option to conduct reference checks by telephone is still available by request.  Special thanks to Kathy Koren for providing her technical guidance and expertise to the project.

‘On the Hill’ touting ESD-U

Tim and Mike have been busy visiting with local legislators to share the important benefits of our new program ESDU. The ESD is now approved to certify those with Bachelor’s degrees who wish to become teachers. Read the fact sheet that’s being shared with legislators seeking funding to pilot our model. And good luck to Mike Nerland who testified before the state legislature on the teacher shortage challenge and our viable ESDU solution!   Watch for more to come on this amazing program that has already drawn over 130 interested candidates. Kudos to Mike Esping, the administrators for the program.
