Taylor, the intern, working in the SEH clean room

The SW WA STEM Network initiated a Career Launch Apprenticeship program at SEH America this summer. Part of the program is a video that follows six recent high school graduates as they learn high-tech careers in silicon disc production.

Rose Yandell in Communications related her fun experience shooting the video this August:

Well, it’s happened. I’m a officially a bunny rabbit!

Alex and I were filming in SEH America’s clean room yesterday. First, we had to take a “air shower”. Ohh, that felt good!  Then we had to suit up in a very particular order while wearing gloves. Ever try to put on a jumpsuit while not letting it hit the ground? We even had specially designed boots! Our last layer was latex gloves over the other gloves then into the clean room. We stood on air shafts that drew air down while ceiling jets blew air on us. Quite the trippy room!

Well, getting to wear a bunny suit is definitely the best part. Ralphie may have hated his bunny suit but we loved ours!
