How long have you worked for ESD 112 and what does your job entail?

I’ve worked as the Digital Learning Coach for ESD 112 for 5 years. In my role, I provide Educational Technology Professional Development for internal staff and districts. I routinely provide in-classroom coaching with the goal of integrating technology within the core curriculum.

What do you like best about your job?

The flexibility and creativity to work with peers within Teaching and Learning. I’m not just the “tech geek” I’m part of a larger team of instructional coaches aimed at providing high quality instruction for all.

What do you consider to be your greatest on-the-job skill or asset?

Breaking down complex problems/system in order to explain/teach others

Married for 18 years to my wonderful husband. Mother of two creative daughters: Hailee 17 ½ Senior at BGHS committed to Central University in the fall of 2019 in order to student Special Education and School Physiology. Trista 14 ½ Freshman at BGHS who is excited to be on the first Varsity Cheerleading Squad to win State in school history.

What is something that no one would guess about you if they just met you?

I was adopted at age 14 into a large family of 13 who have inspired me to strive for greatness and embrace my talents.

If you could abolish one piece of modern technology, what would it be and why?

Snapchat! Seriously whoever developed this social media should be forced to teach middle school to see the devastating effects it has had with today’s youth.

At what age did you become an adult?

I still see myself as a young woman/ girl in many aspects and often wonder what I’ll do when I grow up.
