Kids in the ESD’s Early Head Start, ECEAP and Child Care programs will be spending a lot of time out in the fresh air this winter. Help them stay dry and happy to play and explore the outdoors with rainboots and raincoats for our centers! ESD Connects is gathering donations starting Monday September 28 through Friday, October 9.

There are two easy ways to donate to the drive:

1. Shop the Amazon wish list from the comfort of home

We’ve made it easy for those working from home to participate. Simply click here to visit our Amazon wish list and place an order. Be sure to select “Mandi Niehaus’ Gift Registry Address” under “Other addresses” at checkout so that the item is shipped directly to our ECE programs. (Note: There are lots of fun prints out there, but we’ve kept the selection of items as similar as possible to make it easy for centers to identify and to avoid kids fighting over items.)

2. Drop off your clean, gently used items

Do you have a raincoat or boots that your child only wore a few times before outgrowing? We are gathering clean, gently used raincoats and rainboots for all ages of children (birth–12 years). Simply drop your items in the marked bin located just inside the first set of doors at the main entrance of 2500 Building.

Safety protocols for donation drop-off:

  • No need to fill out a health attestation or go through the temperature check station.
  • Please be sure to wait for the area to be clear of anyone else before entering.
  • ESD Connects members will sanitize items before delivering to the ECE department.
