ESD Connects Food Drive

October 1–22

Supports Fort Vancouver Students

To help support students in need, ESD Connects staff would like to stock a pantry of non-perishable food to deliver to our neighboring school, and we need your help!

Simply follow these two steps:

  1. Shop our Amazon wishlist of food items here.
  2. Be sure to select “Amber Scott / ESD Connects’ Gift Registry Address” under “Other addresses” at checkout so that the item is shipped directly to our ESD Connects committee.

The Why:

Fort Vancouver has a very high population of low income students–71% qualify for free and reduced lunch. The school also has a high percentage of student who need to stay late for credit recovery programs. The first lunch period is from 10:30-11 (second is from 11-11:30), so by the time the credit recovery classes come around at the end of the day, these kids are hungry. Healthy snacks will help them focus and recharge! The snacks we send over will be managed by the school’s Family & Community Resource Coordinator specifically for this purpose.
