After six months of renovations, Insurance Programs staff is looking forward to moving into their newly remodeled space in early September, as soon as the furniture arrives. The Early Care & Education department will also enjoy a big new meeting room in their corner of the building.

Kudos to Rick Batterberry and his entire facilities team for their hard work! Frank Fiolek notes that the new tile floor in the south hallway was finished by two of his crew, Daniel Ostrowski and Edwin Borja. “There are guys twice as experienced who can’t do work that good,” he says. “I’m really proud of them.”

The renovations have also resulted in two new small meeting rooms, which will be available to the entire agency soon. Thank you to everyone who voted on names for these rooms. The majority agreed to name them “Adams” and “St. Helens”. The Video Conference Room will be renamed “Rainier”.

Cabinet is still planning which programs will occupy the space in the middle of the building currently used by the insurance group.
