The 2017 Regional High School Art Show held its Gallery Opening and Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, March 14. It was the largest crowd yet, with an estimated 250-300 people in attendance. The Art Show is a huge undertaking, and it wouldn’t be possible without the hard work of many staff members (and one former staff member).

A big THANK YOU to all staff who helped out, including:

Jodi Thomas for being Coordinator Extraordinaire–juggling art teacher emails, OSPI paperwork, event planning and all those nitty gritty details.

Melissa Burt for promoting the event with classy invites and posters, taking photos of all the artwork and helping Jodi with coordination efforts.

Evelyn Hambleton for coming back from retirement to help out with anything that needed doing and making sure everything was just-so.

Lori Oberheide for her support, guidance, and for making it possible for Evelyn to help out. She also read student names with aplomb during the ceremony.

Susan Rahl for reserving the space, fielding questions and greeting lost art teachers.

Mike Nerland for enlisting help from Fort Vancouver High School Students for the reception.

Judy Strong for welcoming art teachers and judges and getting them where they needed to go.

Malena Goerl and Alissa Jolly for helping receive artwork from teachers.

Frank Fiolek and his guys for setting up dozens of grids and tables for the artwork and lots and lots of extra chairs at the awards ceremony.

Kelly McPherson for her help during the reception and for her many past years spent coordinating.
