Congratulations to Melissa Kreuder, our new HR Director! After interviewing outside candidates, the hiring panel overwhelmingly recommended promoting Melissa, and she has accepted the job.

Melissa will be overseeing HR staff, implementing HR programs, services and initiatives and working closing with ESD leadership to ensure we support and recognize the great work of staff. The HR department has hired an HR Specialist to take on some of the work Melissa was doing.

While Melissa is taking on added leadership responsibilities, Marnie Allen will continue to serve the ESD as the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resource and Legal Services.  She will still be on Cabinet, the WSLA Team and still will be engaged in HR practices and decisions.  The change will transfer decision-making authority to Melissa in some areas and will give Marnie the time she needs to continue doing legal work with school districts and other ESDs without compromising ESD 112 HR Services.

For the most part, this change will not impact ESD staff (other than improving HR response times and service!)  Please stop by and congratulate Melissa (in Marnie’s old office) and watch the HR Newsletter for announcements about all the great things that are happening in the HR Department.
