It’s a winter wonderland out there!
With all the snowy weather this weekend that is expected to continue into the work week, we just want to remind everyone of our Inclement Weather Guidelines. You can download them here or find them on the intranet here (requires login). If you haven’t done so already, make sure you have the Flash Alert app downloaded and subscribe to ESD 112 to receive updates.
The annual High School Art Show is coming…
The Communications Department is jammed packed with student artwork that will soon fill the hallways of ESD 112. Art work will be hung on February 23 and the artists reception and awards ceremony will be March 20 from 5-7 p.m.
A sure sign of spring!
THANKS to Rick, Will, John and the facilities team for beautifying our surroundings. You’ve likely noticed that bark dust has been spread, bushes trimmed and lawn mowed. Also, the guys power-washed the back patio in preparation for warmer, drier weather that invites outdoor lunching and breaks! (Hard to imagine right now with our recent snow!)
New countertops for the Foode kitchen
Foode will be closed on March 19 so facilities staff can install new countertops in the kitchen. We’ll send a notice of closure as we get closer to that date.
Website Accessibility Committee convenes
As you know, our new ESD 112 website is inching closer to its debut. To ensure our new site – and everything on it – is ADA compliant, a new committee has been convened. Among the important work ahead for the group is establishing purpose and goals, developing an agency-wide policy and setting up an internal process to ensure all electronic communication meets accessibility standards. Committee members are Laura Martin, Heidi Barnes, Wendy Niehaus, Dan Sorensen, Christy Price, Kelly McPherson, Eliza Cornelison, Scott LaBar, Lori Oberheide, Connie Salzmann, Kristina Wambold, and Katherine Livick. For those employees who have not yet attended an Accessibility Training (conducted by Kristina and Katherine) another opportunity is coming soon!
