Governor Inslee’s Stay Home – Stay Healthy Proclamation (accessible at this link) requires people to stay home except to engage in authorized activities, which includes providing essential services.

ESD 112 has already implemented practices that require non-essential employees to work from home.  For more information about our expectations, see Superintendent Merlino’s post here.

We are pleased to share with you that approximately 90% of  ESD 112 employees are working from home.  We want to continue having non-essential employees work from home and will send an email with additional information about work expectations leading up to April 24th.  For now, keep working from home, avoid groups of people and practice social distancing.

For those of you that have your supervisor’s approval to work from the ESD office, schools or the community, you are “Essential Employees.”  As Essential Employees you are authorized to leave your home for purposes of carrying out the work we have asked and assigned you to do.  Essential Employees will receive a separate email tomorrow with information about our expectations and the steps we want you to take to keep yourself and your colleagues safe and healthy.

Thanks for your patience, positive attitude and the good work you’re doing as we navigate our way through the COVID-19 crisis.  Please contact your supervisor, cabinet member of me if you have questions about work expectations or how the Governors Stay Home-Stay Health Proclamation impacts your work.

Please practice social distancing and keep yourselves healthy during the coming weeks.
