With COVID-19 health concerns over the last few months and looking ahead, the way we access health care is rapidly changing.  Technology has allowed doctors to have safe connections with patients through virtual visits and telehealth plans.  ESD 112 offers telehealth benefits with all of their medical plans. And most medical offices in the area are also offering ways for patients to get treatment for non-urgent or COVID related symptoms through these types of services.  We have compiled a list of medical offices and centers in the region that have web pages dedicated to getting health care and support during the pandemic.  We have also included information on how to access ESD 112 medical plan telehealth options for employees who are currently enrolled in ESD 112 medical benefits.

LIFE THREATENING OR EMERGENCY CARE

Clark County Health Officials are urging residents to seek emergency care if you are experiencing life heart attack or stroke symptoms, or other life-threatening symptoms.  Urgent care and emergency departments in Clark County have put several practices in place to keep patients safe from the pandemic while still treating symptoms that require emergency care. See the full article here.  For links to other County Health pages and resources in our region, visit our ESD 112 COVID 19 page.

DENTAL AND EYE CARE

Although routine Dental care is not considered essential at this time, emergency dental care is allowed.  Clark County Dental Society provided a list of Clark County dentists who are providing emergency dental services at this time and how to contact them.

Vancouver Eye Care has implemented several practices to ensure save care during COVID including spreading out appointment times, check in and wait in vehicles or outside instead of in the office for appointments, and health screenings.  They also offer telehealth eye visits in most cases. Patients are urged to call their clinic office to see if they qualify.

Kaiser Vision clinics have been temporarily closed, but are offering E-visits for most cases.  New eyeglasses orders have been temporarily placed on hold, but you are able to order new contacts. For more information visit their website.

If you have a concern about dental or vision care, the best practice is to call your dentist or doctor’s office and ask what their specific procedures are during this time.
