We hope you enjoyed making flower/seed bombs with us at the end of year celebration and that you got them planted!

If you missed us at the event, feel free to make your own Seed Bombs by following the recipe below.

Ingredients/Supplies

  1. Paper (all that paper you throw in the recycle bin can be repurposed!)
  2. Water
  3. Seeds
  4. Food processor or blender
  5. Optional: Paper shredder

How To Make Seed Bombs

STEP 1:

Start by cutting your construction paper into one-inch squares. Or if you have a paper shredder, shred up the paper. Place each color separately in a container.

STEP 2:

Once you have cut up all your paper squares and each container is ready, add water. Cover the paper completely and allow to soak for 20 minutes.

STEP 3:

When the 20 minutes is finished (the hardest part is always waiting), take one container and squeeze the excess water out of the paper. Place the paper in a food processor and pulse until the paper becomes pulp!

STEP 4:

Put all of your pulp into a container together and add any seed variety you’d like or have on hand.

STEP 5:

Take a clump of paper/seeds and mold it into a ball like you’re making a meatball.

STEP 6:

Let the seed bomb dry.

LAST STEP:

Throw your dried seed bomb out in a field or plant it in a pot. Add sunshine and water. Enjoy!
