The following employees were recognized at the May 2024 Board of Directors meeting.

Sammy Carroll – Student and School Success (SaSS)

Outstanding Customer Service! Sammy’s supervisor received a note of thanks from an educator in a different ESD region.

I am emailing because over the last week or so I received excellent support from Sammy as I worked through navigating PD enroller and I wanted to share my experience. ‘ ‘I shall note the first time I called her with a slew of questions, it happened to be right at the end of the work day on a Friday and she was very patient and even followed up with a second request I had that same day that she could have reasonably waited to do until Monday’ ‘ To encounter someone who was as positive, supportive, and knowledgeable as Sammy was an unexpected bonus in an experience I will admit I was anticipating to be frustrating, confusing, and time consuming.

Communications & Public Engagement Team

ESD-U program staff recognized the communication team for their work this year.

A big shout out to the Communications team from ESD-U, especially Laura, Melissa, and Mika! We recently had the most ESD-U applications submitted for ANY cohort, thanks in large part to the work you have done with us to update our promotional materials, advertise on social media, and build an entirely new, FANTASTIC website linked with our first ever CRM system! The work you do isn’t just wonderful because it’s creative, smart and eye-catching – you also do it with a smile and the kind of attentiveness that truly feels like our projects are a priority that you care about. Thank you so much for everything you have done for us this year, we look forward to more amazing collaborations in the future!

Sarah Washburn, Libby Griffith, Julie Jacobson,  Kelli Tokuyama and the Early Care & Education Team

ECE event planning team was recognized for their exceptional event!

Sarah – I want to thank you for putting together the (First Annual?) ECE Family Event that was held at ESD 112 yesterday. I know that there were a lot of volunteers at the event and a lot of work happened behind the scenes, but it went off without a hitch, thanks to your diligent efforts. My husband and I (and my daughter and grandchildren) were there to enjoy the vehicles outside and the community organizations, photo booth and clothing to share areas inside. Nancy Miller also joined in on the fun.

I have to say, the highlight of the day was watching you get raised up in the CPU bucket. That took guts!

Kelli – I am so glad you know everyone. You were the best person to greet the vendors and vehicles as they came in. We were in good hands right from the start! Thank you!

Emma – You made a very welcoming room for folks to get clothing for themselves and their children. Thank you!

Monique – Thank you for the very fun signage for the event, including the invitation that went out to families and the raffle ticket! Way to make it fun!

As always, I appreciate Tim and Jodi’s leadership and support, and Sara and Kelly’s support in the front office. You guys are smooth!

I’m sure I forgot someone, so please thank them for me!  By the way, the tacos were excellent as were the treats!
