The following employees were recognized at the June and August 2024 Board of Directors meetings.

Sammy Carroll – Student and School Success (SaSS)

Sammy was recognized by Xander Hayes in the Communications department for being an honorary member of Communications with her video voiceover work.

For each VO project Sammy has been tasked with, she has devoted at least a couple of hours to preparation and recording, often accomplishing in a fraction of the time, what those before her could not—tonal accuracy, speech clarity, and optimal efficiency. She’s incredibly coachable and has provided better results than professionals and amateurs alike who have been tasked with the job previously. In fact, Sammy has done so well that she is now the voice of WASA’s School Funding campaign, as well as Longview Public Schools’ safety and security informational video.
