“Let us put our minds together and see what life we will make for our children.”
Chief Sitting Bull, Sioux, Standing Rock
ESD 112 staff were treated to a thoughtful presentation on November 18 about efforts to recognize and respect our Indigenous lands. Jon Claymore, Director of the Office of Native Education, coordinated and facilitated the sharing of deep knowledge and understanding by several tribal leaders across Washington, who took the time to articulate our long-standing history of traditional Indigenous territories.
