Creating Gender Inclusive Schools Webinar

On October 12th over 50 school districts and ESD employees attended a webinar on Creating Gender Inclusive Schools.  Kasha Roseta, from OSPI’s Equity and Civil Rights Office, presented an overview of the legal requirements to accommodate all students and shared resources on how to provide gender inclusive schools.

The webinar was offered by the Risk Co-Op, which has seen an increase in HIB and discrimination complaints tied to gender identity and expression.  Wendy Niehaus and Kathy Whitlock worked together to schedule and support attendance at the event. Participants were very appreciative and found the webinar to be very  helpful.
