Spring is finally here! We hope you’ve been able to get outside and enjoy some sunshine and/or rain showers and get some movement activities in. We have some important information we’d like to share in this newsletter so please keep reading.

10th Annual ‘Couve Clover Run

The 10th Annual ‘Couve Clover Run was a huge success! We had a great group of ESD 112 employees join us for a walk and run along Vancouvers beautiful waterfront. Thank you to all who came out to join us! We are already looking forward to next year.

April Monthly Movement Break – Yoga with Bre Higgins

April 17 2:00-2:30pm Klickitat/Skamania Rooms

Our February yoga movement break had a great turnout! We are hosting another yoga movement break on Wednesday, April 17 at 2pm in the Klickitat and Skamania rooms of the ESD 112 Conference Center. It will be guided by Bre Higgins, an ESD 112 employee and yoga instructor. We recommend bringing a yoga mat or a blanket.

Yoga is a holistic practice renowned for its profound benefits on the mind, body, and soul. Through a blend of physical postures, breath work, and meditation, yoga cultivates harmony and balance within. It serves as a transformative journey, guiding practitioners towards a state of wholeness and well-being, both on and off the mat.

May Monthly Movement Break – Ballroom Dancing with Adam Noar

May 14 2:00-2:30pm Klickitat/Skamania Rooms

Put on your dancing shoes, and join us for a ballroom dancing lesson with former dance instructor, Adam Noar! We will meet on Thursday, May 14 at 2pm in the Klickitat/Skamania rooms of the ESD 112 Conference Center. Note: Partner, shoes, previous dance experience and/or rhythm are not required to attend and have fun.

Chalk the Walks

June Monthly Movement Break – Chalk the Walks with Be:Well!

Chalk the Walk Kickoff Event: Monday, June 10, 11:00am-12:00pm

Be:Well is hosting a Chalk the Walk event the week of June 10-13! Join us and take a mindful moment to spread joy, optimism, and inspiration through the magical powers of sidewalk chalk. Breathe, notice your feelings, and create some chalk art.

We will be having a ‘kickoff’ event on Monday, June 10 from 11-12pm with treats and tunes. Chalk will also be available at the reception desk after the kickoff event from Monday, June 10 – Thursday, June 13 so you can participate anytime you’re available. Let’s make the sidewalk in front of the ESD 112 beautiful for our End of Year event on Friday, June 14!

Be:Well Committee Newsletter Switching to Quarterly

As a committee we have decided to switch to quarterly newsletters. We will continue to provide information on mental, physical, social, and emotional health, it will just be spread out through the year. We will also provide shorter informational posts about activities and events we are planning that will be posted on the main GoESD112 page, so be on the lookout for those! All of the newsletters that we’ve had thus far can always be accessed via our Be:Well committee page on the GoESD website.

We are looking for folks who are passionate (or just plain curious) about wellness. Feel free to fill out this Quick Form to submit your Be:Well committee member application. We meet virtually, and we welcome individuals who work remotely, in the field, and/or at the ESD 112 main campus.
