Board Recognition for November 2022

I just wanted to take a moment to recognize and say a big THANK YOU to your team in the Early Care and Education department.

I invited Alyssia and her team to an event I was co-hosting down fourth plain where we feed a lot of families from the community. One of the things I saw missing was an opportunity to engage the little ones that come with their parents to receive food. For our event I asked Alyssia if they could come down on a Saturday to engage with the kids at our event and share some information about your program. They came with such a great activity that kept the kids engaged and helped us hand out balloons to the kids! Overall there were so many happy parents and kids at the event and to me it meant so much to see them all happy.

I know it took a lot of effort from everyone in your team to make it happen even the masks the kids were drawing had contact information on the inside thanks to Yolanda’s great idea!

I just wanted to say thank you for having such great staff that are willing to help when its needed and the fact that there were so many Spanish speakers was amazing!
