Microsoft Publisher is a layout design tool that can be used to make print documents that need to be spiffier than what can be accomplished in Microsoft Word. It is especially useful for making templates for people who need to produce professional looking documents that can be edited without design software. The League Design Divas are happy to now offer Publisher templates as a service.
Several of our clients are enjoying these templates now, including CSG and Prevent.
“I AM SWOONING. This is magical. We’re so lucky to have such a rock star communications team of heroes!”
– Christopher Belisle, Prevent Coalition“I am SOOO excited to use this template, you have no idea. I wish we had a RFQ coming up! Our previous ones are embarrassing. This will seriously make my life a thousand times easier, so thank you so so so much for this!”-Leah Scouller, CSG
Is a Publisher template right for my project?
Wondering if a Publisher template is the right way to go for you? Just ask yourself the following questions:
- Is this a document that I need to produce multiple times per year with only text changes?
- Are my turn-around times generally so tight that I am embarrassed to ask Design for help?
- Do I need only a few different images to choose from, or can the images stay the same?
If you answered yes to the three questions above, then a Publisher template may be the answer!
Here’s when Publisher is NOT the best solution:
- The document needs to have a new “look” or photo each time to fit the content.
- The text content changes drastically between projects (in length and message).
- You need communications help crafting the message or planning the type of document for your needs.
- You only need the document a few times a year and have plenty of lead time.
