The ESD 112 Board of Directors presented Kent Simpson with his retirement apple at the May board meeting. Kent retired on May 31. His career in school business management began 36 years ago when he was hired by the ESD. In 1986 he went to Vancouver Public Schools as the accounting manager where he served until 2014, at which time he returned to the ESD as Assistant Fiscal Officer. “Kent is extremely hard-working and knowledgeable about all aspects of school finance,” said ESD CFO Gavin Hottman.” “He will be greatly missed not only by ESD 112, but by the districts he served throughout our region.”
