As you know, an ESD 112 workgroup has been collecting information over this past year about what’s important when it comes to our workplace. What’s working when it comes to employee satisfaction? Where can we improve? Those are the kinds of questions workgroup members asked first through an all-staff survey, followed by face-to-face conversations with various employee groups. In all, feedback was received by more than 250 staff members!

Up next: At the August 22 staff meeting, Superintendent Tim Merlino will share the Agency Culture workgroup’s recommendations that were presented to Cabinet last month. Some of the suggestions have already implemented (jeans Friday, flexible time for wellness activities and volunteering, etc.). We will keep you updated as we address additional recommendations in the coming year!
