Tuesday, February 11: Significance of Prounoun Usage
Curious about why many staff find it important to include pronouns in signatures and introductions? Come learn skills around working with LGBTQ individuals, clients, and families by building rapport through language, pronouns and definitions. Learn about asking vs assuming gender and pronouns. We will have a Q and A afterwards with Stephen Herndon with The Children’s Home Society and Triple Point program.

Tuesday, March 10: Microaggressions
Microaggressions can be pervasive and cumulative. Many do not realize the harm and impact that daily microaggressions can have on a person’s social, professional and physical well being. In this session, participants will hear from Rashida Willard of Clark College about the three types of microaggressions and learn tools for responding and minimizing harm.

A person’s name is one of the biggest connections to their own identity and individuality. Some might say it is the most important word in the world to that person. How is your name special to you? This fun lunch and learn will explore the relationships between names, culture and identity.
