ECEAP Family Services Worker “self care.”

Shasta Campbell is a Family Service Worker for the Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP).

How long have you worked for ESD 112 and what does your job entail?
I have worked for ESD 112 since October 2016. As an FSW I build relationships with our community and the families on my case load to support family stability. I act as a family advocate and resource coordinator to these families. I love serving the families in our community.

Single? Married? Kids? Pets?

My kids are 24, 22, 19 & 16.

What do you enjoy doing with your free time?
In my free time I volunteer at my church in Children’s Ministry as a pre-K teacher and Women’s Ministry as the Event Coordinator.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and how would you use it?
If I could have one superpower, it would be to heal people and I would use it to heal those dealing with physical and mental illness.

What is the meaning/story behind your name?
I was named after Mt. Shasta in California, not the soda-pop. 🙂

If you had been born the opposite gender, what would your parents have named you?
Had I been born male I would have been Shad.

What did you want to be when you were little?
When I was 4 years old I wanted pink hair and to be a bank-lady. I thought it would be fun to give people money all day.

What future events are you looking forward to?

I am looking forward to completing my Master’s in Counseling degree December 2018.

What was your most interesting past job?

I was a phlebotomist in my late teens and early 20’s. It was really fun helping people in the medical field.
