Madison is the Fingerprint Technician in the Human Resources Department.

How long have you worked for ESD 112 and what does your job entail?

I have worked for ESD for 6 months now. I take and process fingerprints for prospective employees at the ESD and our districts.

What do you like best about your job?

I like all the people I get to work with every day, and all the different people I get to meet each day through my appointments.

What do you consider to be your greatest on-the-job skill or asset?

I am a quick learner, and am always willing to help out wherever needed.

Single? Married? Kids? Pets?

I am married to my wonderful husband now for four and a half years, and we have a beautiful daughter Soffia who will be 2 next month which I can’t believe.  We also have two dogs Egan (orangish color) and Blaze (black) who are both rescues.

What do you enjoy doing with your free time?

Well free time free time to myself doesn’t really exist anymore with a toddler running around. We usually are spending all our free time with family and friends just hanging out. During the summer months we go boating a lot with my family, and we love to go on family walks.  When I do get actually mommy free time, the husband and I usually try to plan a date night.

If your coworkers wanted to surprise you with a little treat sometime what should it be?

You can never go wrong with chocolate!

If you had to choose to live without one of your five senses, which one would you give up and why?

I would give up my sense of smell. I would never want to not be able to see the smile on my daughters face, or hear her sweet little voice. I would hate not ever being able to taste a delicious meal, or never being able to touch/hold the ones we love.

If you could play one instrument you aren’t able to now, what would it be and why?

I would love to be able to play the piano.  I took voice lessons for several years when I was in middle school and high school, and I tried piano but I am just not able to learn how to read sheet music.  Even in voice lessons, I can hear someone sing it and I instantly can repeat it, but I still to this day cannot read it.

What is the meaning/story behind your name?

My parents actually found my name in the boys section of the name book but liked it as a girl name. They didn’t find out what they were having with either myself or my brother so they were prepared with a name for each gender.

If you had been born the opposite gender, what would your parents have named you?

Thomas after my dad (which is my little brother’s name).

What did you want to be when you were little?

Ever since I can remember, I always wanted to be a neonatal nurse.  That want went away for a while in my later high school years, and now since having a premature baby myself, I don’t think that it would have been right for me.

What’s the song you can’t resist singing along to?

Pretty much anything with the exception of rap and heavy metal, but lately I sing along to every song on Moana as we watch it every day (sometimes more than twice a day)!
