How long have you worked for ESD 112 and what does your job entail?

My official contract began with ESD July 2016. I am privilege to be working with an amazing team in bringing Quest Academy to Cowlitz Co. school districts

What do you like best about your job?

The best part of my job is being a part of a team that believes anything is possible for the youth and families we serve.

What do you find most challenging about your job?

Finding time to complete all the paperwork required in operating a school building.

Single? Married? Kids? Pets?

Married to Jason for 20 years – two wonderful daughters (McKenna & Lindsey) – 3 horses – 2 outdoor cats and nine beef cows.

What do you enjoy doing with your free time?

Being at home with my family – riding and showing horses – whitewater rafting – working outside on the farm – blinging out horse show clothes.

If you could master one skill you don’t have right now, what would it be?

To be able to sing – so that other people wanted to listen.

Star WesternIf you could time travel, would you go to the past or the future?

I would go back to the summers as a kid – spending weeks out camping with my grandparents and cousins. We would fish, fish, fish, swim, and waterski. My grandfather was retired so he would take all of us grandkids out to the lake for the week and grandma would join us after work on Friday. We loved her pancakes and my mom still cooks them on her griddle.

What did you want to be when you were little?

A cowgirl. I wanted to be with horses from the moment I woke up until I went to sleep at night.

What future event are you looking forward to?

The first day we have students on campus with us at Quest.

What was your most interesting past job?

During the summer of my junior year of college – I came home and sold shoes at Fred Meyers. After watching a 10 minute video – I was “trained” to fit and sell shoes. It made me smile to watch little kids “celebrate” the purchase of new shoes. I smiled all day
